A SEPARATION depicts the emotional trials of a once–loving couple torn apart by the wife's desire that their daughter will have a better life. Director Asghar Farhadi cast his daughter Sarina as the couple’s 11 year old offspring, who is forced to make a heartbreaking decision for reasons she cannot understand.
